In this world, there are a lot of types of people. There are good and bad people. There are selfish and altruistic people. There are happy and miserable people.
The day is 24th of May, 2021. A skinny post-pubescent boy is looking at a computer screen looking for things to do. He exausts every single form of entertainment he can achieve at the moment, and so, he starts to crawl deeper and deeper into the Abyss of Humanity's Nature. He encounters the Blackpill. In an instant, he understands everything. His mind enters in a state of profound epifany and discovery, he now understand what's happening behind the curtains.
Reflecting on himself, he discovers something even beyond that epifany. The Mark. As he adventures through the sorrowful lands of the knowledge of the Blackpill, he encounters several other people like him. They also possess the Mark. These people although coming from different setups and raised very differently, relate to each other profoundly. Suffering is universal, and so, if you want to make people bond, the easiest way is to make them suffer.
It's not quite clear for him and for the others what the Mark is. Some theorize it's some sort of recognition system used by God to know who to bring to Heaven or some shit like that. These people are the most religious people of the group. Others say it's the literal representation of their Unique Suffering. Interestingly enough, people who are not from the group can't perceive the Mark, while people who pretend they are from the group can see it very distorted.
As time passes, the Mark strenghtens. Desires vanish. Dreams die. Hope is crushed.
But still, they resist
