During mating season this one bird ( native to where I live) decided that the area near my window is his territory and started giving out mating calls. His mating calls were loud as hell and everyone in my home was disturbed by it.

He would start at 5 AM and end at around 6-7 PM, he would obviously take breaks to find food and water. This went on for one month.

Then he disappeared. Maybe he found a female bird to mate with or maybe he remained an incel. I believe that he failed to find a mate as the mating season's end and his calls stopped at the same time although I could be wrong.

If anyone is interested to know which bird it was, it was a lineated barbet and this is how they look like

At first glance you may think an area only has crows and pigeons but usually there are many more birds. When I was a child I used to think the same about my area but now that im grown up I feel completely different. Like there are two different species of crows where I live, something I never noticed when I was young.

I'm a biology student. Such observations should be second nature for me.
