Im at the point where my entire day can be completely ruined by going outside and seeing someone staring at me with confusion/disgust and if I complain about this then the default thing people say is "you shouldn't care about the opinion of shallow and judgemental people"
But the thing is in my belief, when I notice these shallow and judgemental people staring at me and even laughing at me with their friends when walking past, I am literally witnessing the unfiltered way in which the human brain reacts to the sight of my face. because these people are shallow and judgemental, they by default have less filter and less inhibitions, they can't hide their brains response to my face behind a smile or just quickly looking away out of politeness so in my opinion at least, these peoples reactions to my appearance are a more objective and accurate benchmark for how I actually look to other people
Obviously I still encounter "nice" people who don't stare and look away or maybe even smile at me sometimes and talk to me nicely out of pity, but I GUARANTEE if I was to put both of their brains in a high tech brain activity scan, both of their brains would light up in the exact same regions that light up when viewing an ugly face, the only difference is that the judgemental shallow person fundamentally lacks inhibitions so I'm basically witnessing the raw unfiltered human reaction to my appearance, and for the "nice" people they just simply have more of an ability to hide their brains disgust even though both of their brains fundamentally react to my face the same way
So if anyone ever wonders why I get so fucked up and spiral so badly over these judgemental stares that I get, this is why, it's because I'm essentially seeing the unfiltered raw way in which the human brain reacts to my face
