Yeah that pretty much describes my dad. He is in the top 3% earners in my country. He does pay half of that to taxes, but even after taxes he earns 4 times the average person. What does he do with the money? Well, he bought 2 brand new cars worth 60k GBP (around 80k in US dollars) a new motorbike just in the last two years and pays massive rent for the shitty house we live in. He is also signed up to a million different subscription services which I'm sure total to thousands more every year, let alone covering food, electricity, water, car bills like repairs and fuel etc, my mums horse. I mean I'm not complaining, because I live a good life. I have shelter and food and can get what I want when I want if I just ask for it (but I don't do this often because I hate feeling ungrateful). I'm happy he provides for the family and he is clearly a smart guy but come on. He has a pension scheme and invests in the stock market but if he just saved and invested a little more, and had been doing that for the last 15 years. We would be living like Kings, idk maybe it's a cope. But still women respect and want wealthy people, I feel like I wouldn't be an incel or I could atleast afford better copes if he had built up some wealth for the family.
