Its funny how especially people who post avout beein atheist and how dumb religion is will start talkin about some magic personality which is going to help them and follow some pointless rituals themselves in order to get a better life

i am retarded

:feelskek:

I've actually seen the rain dance in person, and it actually did start to rain afterwards.

Religion as a whole though is the biggest scam brought into soyciety. It's about control and power, not whatever it preaches in it's books.

reading is a ritual now :feelswhat:

I think that there was once a time where people actually believed in things. But nowadays I think most people act religious dont believe with 100% in whats written there, maybe they want to believe but they cant

If you read the self improvement book of some life coach, then yes its basically like reading any religious text

you should have specified self improvement books. what about philosophy. surely you’re not against that

Well all books in the pic are self improvement stuff.
I didnt say Im against religious texts or against self improvement, I said they are pretty much the same in todays world. When I read books who you could consider as "philosophical" its mostly either as a replacement for not beein able to believe in the bible or other religious explanation of this world or its a mental circle jerk so I can say: "I rode this and that book abd Im so intellectual"
I dont believe some philosophical book has deeper content or will give you a greater look into the inside of this world then some novel
