And I know exactly who is responsible for it.

It is the Jews. OpenAI and the "innovator" Sam Altman whose great idea was to use chatgpt replacing many tech workers.

There's no job security in this industry whatsoever.

Yes, it's ironically the field I have most experience in, even if they are not YOE work experience.

Anyway, making a game is a bad investment of time. There's a super small chance your game will get popular enough. Also, most jobs here are business shit like C# and java or mobile apps, so that stuff is just a waste.

Yeah, tech is done for. Fresh grads/juniors are done for. ChatGPT or similar bots will just generate bunch of code which will then be edited by the senior developers (which can be few in number) who would integrate the code in the codebase.

Next step is physical body. If robots become cheap and mass produced, and somewhat smart enough, construction and labor jobs will be done too.

Also I've heard that devs (companies) deliberately drive up system reqs to boost Nvidia/amd sales, and that large size of games can help the game monopolize the space in the hard disk, ensuring less competition

Yeah, many people at my university had to resort to enrolling in the military because of all the tech layoffs because at least there is job security there or they had to apply for fields that's different to CS such as Finance, many Finance positions such as IB roles and Analysts are taking in CS graduates too.
