The gymmaxxing experience: pros, cons and tips

Started gymmaxxing about a month ago to get my mind off of the general stresses of life, I know some people are curious about starting the gym as a cope so I thought I would share my experience so far.

Pros:
  • It gets my mind off of shitty life for a few hours a day, I forget how truly fucked I am for a bit
  • I feel like Im being productive, beats sitting in my room and jerking off
  • The serotonin boost is insane, its like a drug to be honest, the high lasts for about an hour or so after you're done working out
  • Productive way to release rage, stress and sadness
  • Someone wrongs you in the future? Deglove their face like a chimp
Cons:
  • There is a good chance you will get mogged, most gymgoers are usually normies with nothing special about them but eventually you will encounter a chad who mogs everything about you, it will hurt...
  • Its an extra expense you will be paying, ensure you can afford the prices
  • You will feel very sore for the first week or so
  • You'll have to embark into soyciety, gross
Tips:
  • Bring headphones, they're a great way to block everyone out
  • Avoid peak times if you can, there is nothing worse than a packed gym
  • Wear a hoodie if you're body conscious, I do this
  • Avoid mirrors, enough said
  • Bring plenty of water, if you think you've brought enough, bring more

I usually go around 7-8pm so there's barely anyone, might start going early in the morning but Im too lazy for that shit
 
I'm too self conscious to go to the public gym, my parents got me a pullup bar and a leg raise thing so I've been doing body weight calisthenics. It seems like I've got a 6 pack coming in because I've leaned out.

pros:
  • strengthmaxxing is a good cope. Just knowing you are much stronger than the average male feels good. You can strengthmog ppl who mog you genetically
  • fapping feels better if you worked out recently, to me anyway
  • less likely to be bullied or seen as weak if you are built. if some1 picks a fight with u, u have a better chance
  • you can bulk up to wear a bigger clothes size leading to fewer cases of getting mogged
cons:
  • phisique inflation means u cannot outrun the smv competition withot using gear
  • takes multiple years of training to naturally reach what some fucker can reach in 6 months on roids
tips:
  • dont do it for aesthetics unless u plan on taking testosterone and roids
  • dont do long 1.5 to 2 hour workouts as a beginner u will burn out fast and end up quitting. 1 hour or less is good enough if u dont slack off

Start out on the machines with low weight settings, dont be afraid to experiment, find out how strong you are before you start getting serious, also remember to not go too hard on your first week or so, I made that mistake and my arm muscles were rendered useless for a few days

Srs — do not fall for the "bulk" meme, you will be hungrier so tracking your calories is a must to keep you from eating like a nutcase. Also, eat low fat and high carb to not feel like shit!!!

if u go to a public gym or get ur hands on more equipment, try to implement some deadlift early on, and train some lats alongside shoulders for better frame. Deadlifting releases some of the most feelgood chemicals out of all exercises u can do, plus its a freeweight and compound exercise which is great

After my gymcel advice request post I went on Google Maps and found a gym very near me that I hadn't seen before. It looks nice but my father won't give me money to sign up. Fuck my retarded life.
