Which reminds me of what I've been thinking about, but teenhood is basically the last stretch of when you can kind of live like a richfag even if you aren't. Your parents still have to take care of you, you obviously aren't a clueless kid anymore and can understand that your family are wageslaves or even worse, but as long as they provide you with necessities, you can not care about that, given how much of your life is consumed by school and interactions with your peers, where nothing else than that matters because everything else is taken care of by people around you.

I didn't feel "free" at all in high school with being constantly watched by an aide on school grounds. I had much more freedom in college without being escorted by somebody everywhere.
