In the USA we have something called the 2nd amendment which is a federal law that grants all US citizens the right to own firearms (unless you're a felon or some shit like that). A common criticism of the 2nd amendment is that it was written into law when firearms were just muskets and old fashioned pistols. Some people argue that it shouldn't apply to modern firearms due to high capacity mags and high powered rifles. Like the founding fathers were not imagining modern firearms when they made that law

Anyways we also have the 19th amendment which basically gives foids the right to vote. I just saw a post arguing that lawmakers didn't imagine modern women when they wrote the 19th amendment into law. Just fucking lol. I'm stealing that

19th amendment was an added amendment to the constitution. The 2nd amendment is included in the bill of rights which CANNOT be fucked with for any reason whatsoever bc otherwise it would deprive basic human rights
