When I was a kid I received $20 from relatives as a Christmas present. My family had a GameCube. This was 2010 so keep in mind prices weren't inflated yet. You could find most first party games for anything between $10 and $20. My eyes were drawn towards Super Smash Bros melee and Wario World. Instead, I decided to buy Cars the video game because it was an established IP I had experience with. After first playing it, I realized the game was absolutely dog shit and never played it again. The following year, I purchased Spider-Man the video game. Another piece of dog shit. Afterwards I never bought any movie games because I automatically assumed they were shovel ware.

Too bad I never got any good games for the GameCube before I moved on to collecting For the DS and Wii. At least I can play all of them via an emulator or a hacked Wii/Wii u nowadays.

mario games suck ass.

The Cars game was pretty bad. I remember playing that too as a kid and preferred Burnout and NFS over it.

Huh. This has me thinking. Whether I've ever bought a game like that.

I did have the Asterix game on Game Boy but it was amazing tbh, lol

And on Dreamcast some games like Looney Tunes Space Race but again that was a great game.

So... maybe I've managed to dodge it. Or I've just blanked it from my memory!
