A 23-year-old young man was arrested in the Buenos Aires district of Escobar, after an investigation initiated by the FBI and continued by the Argentine federal justice system, in which he is accused of paying tribute through social networks to the authors of the “Massacre of Columbine” and inciting mass murders, while a 9-millimeter pistol and more than 60 projectiles were seized from his house , police sources reported today.

US federal agents had detected a Facebook user named “DrakunubzDemonincel”, who had made several posts inciting others to carry out a massacre and interacted with other people from around the world.

Among the contacts of that profile, a user was detected in Argentina who since February 2019 used the alias “Depressedkiller” (depressed killer, according to its translation into Spanish) and from there expressed xenophobic thoughts and paid tribute to Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the two perpetrators of one of the largest massacres committed by shooters in schools in the United States, the one that occurred at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999, where there were 15 dead - among them the murderers - and 24 injured.

The UFECI began the local investigation and through the IP address identified that user as Cascón and located his address in the home raided yesterday. For reasons of jurisdiction, federal judge González Charvay was the one who, at the request of the prosecution, ordered and carried out the search. In addition to the weapon and ammunition, in the raid the investigators also seized an album of photographs of Harris and Klebold that the young man residing in Belén de Escobar collected.

Also a rope with a sliding knot, ready for hanging, and a series of electronic devices such as cell phones, notebooks and external drives, which will now be examined to analyze their contents.

The judge authorized the inspection of the electronic devices during the raid and that was where some WhatsApp messages and the contents of the laptop were viewed. ”In addition to the exchange of messages where he made reference to committing a massacre, in the cell phone's image gallery he had selfies of him handling a gun like the one kidnapped from the home,” indicated a source.

González Charvay also ordered that the young man's medical history be requested from the mental health hospital where he was treated years ago, that a "criminal profiling" be carried out on him, and that he be examined by experts from the Forensic Medical Corps in order to determine if he can be investigated, if he understands the criminality of the act and directs his actions and if it is dangerous for himself or third parties.
