When I read the comments under historical videos, I keep coming across claims that the Czechs were cowards and disgraced themselves by not resisting and fighting against the Wehrmacht and the German Reich. In their opinion, the Czechs should have become cannon fodder for the ZOG and joined the war, where they would suffer huge human losses for the sake of someone's approval.
As a result, the Czechs spent the Second World War in comfortable conditions, while the Poles were bleeding out in the fight against the Germans. In the end, both Poland and the Czech Republic became Soviet vassal states, and the fact that the Poles resisted more did not save them from being abandoned by the West when they were given over to Stalin.
But the Czechs lost far fewer people, and their country was less destroyed.
And the result is the same.

Idk, on one hand, yeah, I think it was wise. In both world wars Czech lands were pretty unscathed. In 1st world war, czechs were mass betraying Austria-Hungary and they got an entire country for that. In 2nd world war, they've done nothing and ended up pretty well of except some minor bombing of industrial areas like Plzen and Prague by allies and few exterminated villages by Germans. And even then, the Prague got bombed only because Allies got lost and mistook Prague for Dresden. And after war Czech came out on top as winners too, got back Slovakia and it was Slovakia, that had to pay reparations and give up Zakarpattia to Ukrainian SSR.

But take a look on the other hand. Poles suffered, but at least Poles kept their spines and now their country looks like it too. It's country with future, clear goals and strength to go for them. And Czechs and their land? Many people, czechs included, says that it's a shithole in the middle of mountains where nothing happens. And the defeatist mentality still stays in there too. Bunch of people are either nothing will happen anyway, it's not my problem, why should I care or it's people that would betray their allies for the other countries so that they wouldn't have to fight.

What I had mainly in mind was that Poland isnt afraid of taking sides in foreign affairs, hold their line and invest in army.
