TLDR: Confidence is an outward expression of your social status. That is why women find it so attractive. It is also unreliable because some low IQ men are very confident and many men who have no right to be confident show confidence.

They don't have to waste time trying to figure out if the hive approves of a man. If he has confidence in spades, he usually has good reason for it, such as his good looks, money, or status, and he is approved by the hive.

Chads don't even have to approach or start conversations with girls. Girls go to them.

Imagine if you are a Chad. Just looking at a girl she would suddenly become very shy and self conscious, nervously play with her hair and struggle to look you in the eye. It is not hard to talk to someone who respects you so much that they literally wilt in front of you.

There was a study that found Asians who are confident and assertive at work receive extreme levels of hostility with others trying to put them in their place. I wouldn't be surprised if this applies to low status men in general. Flowers for Algernon is a good book/movie about this. The guy is a mentalcel who suddenly becomes very smart and confident. All the people around him start to hate him because he didn't fit his role as the loser anymore. Even women still didn't like him.
