There are many studies indicating that men who bullied others have more success with women than their victims. Additionally, people with dark triad personalities are popular among women. If incels had a bad personality, they wouldn't have problems with women. From my own experience, I can say that people who bullied others had no issues with women.
The conclusion is simple: 'bad personality' is a buzzword that means nothing. People mindlessly use this phrase as a last resort.
