Im deaf, profoundly deaf, i find it EXTREMELY hard to talk to people because it feels like they give up after i ask them to repeat themselves after the 3rd time, ive basically given up on talking to people in general because of that. their face changes. the interest suddenly drops. they literally start looking for an exit. some even get visibly annoyed like you're inconveniencing them by existing.

I’ve basically given up on talking to people in general because of this. It’s exhausting and humiliating every single time.
