It's Over standard interaction as a sub-5

I was working my shift at the register today when two foids walked up to my lane. As soon as they got close, they looked directly at me for a second, and I could see their faces holding back a laugh. I felt completely embarrassed and just wanted to finish the interaction as soon as possible.
I scanned all of their items while they avoided eye contact. As soon as they cleared the register, I watched them walk out the sliding doors, and they immediately burst out laughing.
Is it over? Do i give up completely?
