Lately and I think everyone here can agree with me, I've been deeply thinking that something about this world is off. No, I don't really mean those usual NPC idiots who say 'this world is fucked up', I mean there is something completely wrong with all of this, you are not the only one who feels this.
the world has shifted in a way I can't fully articulate, it seems foreign and strange to me. You're not alone. Time flies by at an absurd pace, social dynamics feel weird, and our very psychology seems to have been rewired in a dangerously short span, which might indicate that something beyond human understanding occurred.
biological angle here is important, cause like I said in the previous thread: for millennia, humans evolved in small tribes, with social validation limited to our immediate circles. Fast forward to today, and a woman on Tinder can receive hundreds of messages in a single day, unprecedented levels of attention that would have been biologically overwhelming for our ancestors. How is it that, in just about two decades, we've adapted so 'well' to this hyper-stimulated environment? It defies the slow pace of evolutionary biology. This isn't natural adaptation but it feels more like a forced update, as if someone pushed a reset button. Our minds are rewiring to crave validation from strangers outside our 'tribe', weakening pair-bonding, genuine connection, and long-term stability.
Also many remember things differently from Berenstain Bears to the location of New Zealand etc. Our collective memory is faltering. Time feels compressed to me, weeks blur together, and years vanish, a year for me feels now more like 6 months. I signed up in 2024 on this forum, we are approaching 2026 but it feels like i signed up yesterday. Maybe it's digital distraction, but what if it's something deeper? What if our perception of reality itself has been altered? Some scientists claim time dilation is a side effect of cross dimensional overlap, in other words: we might find ourselves in a timeline / parallel universe we aren't supposed to be in.
I talked with another guy here about CERN. Stephen Hawking warned about the Higgs boson, aka the 'God particle'.
He explicitly cautioned many times that meddling with it could destabilize the vacuum of space-time, potentially causing a 'catastrophic vacuum decay' (literal quote) event. The Higgs boson was officially confirmed on July 4, 2012. Coincidence or not? Cause Just a few months later in September 2012, Tinder launched.
Why is 2012 so important, why did these shifts happen in 2012 I think:
The significance of 2012 extends far beyond a meme myth. The Maya were master astronomers. Their Long Count calendar didn't merely end, but it marked the completion of a full 5125 year cycle known as a sometjing called' b'ak'tun'. This cycle btw is tied to the precise astronomical phenomenon of the precession of the 26000 year wobble of Earths axis. This period was a rare alignment of our solar system with the galactic plane of the Milky Way, it was an event the Maya interpreted as a portal for profound cosmic transformation and a shift in global consciousness, or a transition of energy and reality itself.
Think about all of that. Social media and other man made apps have fundamentally reshaped human mating psychology, introducing hypergamy on an industrial scale, drops right after one of the most significant and warned-against scientific discoveries in history.
I don't think it's far fetched to consider that CERN experiments might have inadvertently shifted us into an adjacent timeline or a parallel universe we aren't meant to be in.
