That just sounds like suicide fuel, there's nothing to do away from home and you're constantly forced to be reminded of how much better everyone else has it. Even if you're going to go out to drink I still don't get why you'd go to a bar rather than just drinking outside your front door so you don't have as far to walk and don't have to spend as much money.

Sounds fucking retarded, one of the reasons I'm glad to live with my parents is I don't have to put up with arbitrary rules designed to force me to waste money and walk miles just to get drunk.

They do ban me from drinking but sneaking a bottle into my room and eating some mints to hide the smell is a better option than paying bar prices, making myself a target for robbery, and having nothing to do while I drink except fuck around on my phone emulating 20+ year old games.

You might only live 2 minutes away from the nearest bar but in my case even as someone who lives in a highly populated area I think the nearest bar would probably be ten to fifteen miles away which would put the distance of a round trip somewhere close to a literal marathon half of which would have to be performed drunk.
