The only time I catched covid I got really drunk and I felt great the following day (besides a little hung over) so I do recommend it

I had covid, once; it hit me hard the first day, but by the end of the second day, I was already feeling fine, and drinking beer, again. I would say wait until the symptoms go away, then you've got the green light for alcohol consumption. 
So you can live and drink more in the future if you want.
