My roommate has a radio that can get the police frequency.
We often listen to it as background noise.
All day long, people are being arrested for shoplifting.
I live in a city that arrests people for shoplifting, no matter how small the theft.
Here, you will go to jail for stealing one candy bar.
But, my point is……I understand why this is happening.
Grocery prices are so high that some people can either steal or starve.
It is not wrong to steal food if you can’t afford it.
It is the concept of the greater good.
It is better for a person to break the law and eat than it is for them to starve by obeying the law.
Laws are not put into place to benefit the poor…….no matter who currently runs the government.
Laws are put into place to benefit the rich.
These corporations, worth many billions, would rather see the whole country starve than to lose their profit margin.
In a just world……all these corporate executives, would be dragged out of their mansions, in handcuffs, and thrown into prison.
