No you can pre check in on the computer too... you'll get an email with the login stuff you can login and do it, you can also pick your seat like 48 hours before the flight.

Okay so when you book the flight you'll get an email with a login, you go to the airlines website and login and you can check in for your flight online, 48 hours before the flight you can log in using the same details and pick your seat (you don't have to do this...) then go to the airport, find the check in desk and hand over your passport and they'll print off your bording pass or just use the machine and do it yourself at the airport...
