Can anyone else relate?
So I enjoy mostly linear story media, meaning like Dragon Ball Z, you start at episode 1 and learn the world as it goes.
I started to get into Bionicle recently but there is just so much lore and characters it basically feels like a fucking job rather than something to enjoy, its simply overwhelming.
To better articulate this, there is a 13 hour long video about the lore of bionicle on youtube, I mean like dude who actually watched this entire fucking video ffs.

I mean like dude, how the actual fuck do you consume such a piece of media, anyone who claims they have is lying because you cant actually fully understand something this extensive and enjoy it.
The same can be said for Marvel and DC comics, there are simply to many stories/comics and continuities/reboots to read to have the full context and to actually understand and enjoy the stories.
This is why comics have had such a drastic decline in popularity and sales.
In my opinion entertainment/media should be actually enjoyable not a fucking job to understand, and what makes me even angrier is that a lot of these setting based pieces of media have such good designs artwork and base ideas that they could actually be good if it weren't for the fact the creators were fucking retarded..
