When you speak to and debate people in real life face to face, they actually listen to what you say and can relate more to your positions, without being stuck in their own ego filled mindset - that they have to be right and there is no other way.
In contrast to speaking with people online such as on .is when everyone is so trapped in their own bubble that even pointing out the obvious truth and setting out the objective reasoning for this - they will still remain blinded.
Anonymity changes behaviour, and I feel that a fear component is a result as well. You know online there are no consequences for your actions, whereas in real life there is a natural fear of such - e.g being punched in the face. Another reason is a result of the demographic of people that are chronically online as well, of which are more likely to behave like this for a variety of reasons (hence why they are always online kek).
Can't be bothered to write anymore but you get the point.
