The scouter from DBZ, despite being useless as shit, it one of the coolest concepts you can imagine! We can hide our power level (hiding association of inkwelldom) and then there is scouter level finding. I think that despite how silly it is, could be really awesome!!!!
Basically, I really like this tool, and what's interesting to me if you watch the show. How most of Frieza's men use material objects and are technologically advanced, however aren't spiritually advanced like Goku and his pals. Which is when Goku is fighting Frieza and learns that while there is a dust barrier, Goku learns Frieza can't sense ki (energy)
