Indeed. I will forever bitterly regret spending my youth focusing on academics and going on to uni. I wasted all of high school and then 4 years and $25k in uni. Ended up hating the field I went into, and didn't even have any fun or social life the whole time I was in uni. Only now that I'm 25 and finally have enough money to spend on some hobbies have I finally discovered the kind of things I want to do for work. But school never even gave the option to explore, it's just 12 years of crushing our youthful spirits to force us into submission, and placing us in the pecking order that we're intended to stay in for the rest of our lives. I wish I could burn down every school in the world.
