People really disliked this. The biggest complaint seems to be changing MM from being evil for the sake of evil and instead made him a guy that just went ER. They hate when the story suggests society is evil. Guess the message hit too close to home and it made normies uncomfortable. A sick freak murdering people for no reason is quality entertainment. A downtrodden member of the species who says ENOUGH and fights back... yeah that's a problem.
