Today during my morning shift as janitor I noticed there were a lot of foids putting things away from todays truck shipment. Of course pretty much all of them were dressed like complete cum guzzlers. Anyways, I did my usual thing and put on my ear buds and went slow in the areas where I wouldn't be watched. Roastie boss tried to put me on the spot and said "You can finish in about 1hr 30 minutes right?" I told her I couldn't because I had to be thorough. She told me to just try to finish as quick as possible.

What ended up happening was I finished a little later than usual. She wanted me to help her move some shit around like mannequins or take apart some tables. Basically some type of labor since I was the only male working in the store today. Since I finished late, she offered me 2 hours of overtime. I told her I didn't want to stay, and she looked shocked and angry at the same time.(srs) And said I was going to be "busy" today.

She then went on to tell me that I need to start moving faster, and that she doesn't offer overtime very much. I then walked away and clocked out without saying "bye." (DED SRS) I know she's pissed because now she has to do all the labor of moving shit around the store. Pretty sure she was sick to.

Did I make the right decision to reject the 2 hours of overtime?

Yeah I've been there done that. Result is the same whether I'm a hard worker or just do enough to get by. Worked at a place where they gave me a lot of high responsibility tasks and jobs, but kept me as a temp. It was nicer because I had more leeway to walk around in the factory, but only family and friends of people with the better jobs got hired on full time, no matter how shitty and retarded they were.

Exactly, Hard work is shoved in our faces as some escape from this miserable existence. I was a a temp at my current job and worked ridiculously hard because they told me it was the best way to get fulltime. After seeing lazy whores and family of the people already working there a few months get fulltime when I had been working 60 hrs a week for 2 years, when they finally threw me a bone I stopped giving a shit.
