Yes, they are not interested in the research of causes. Neither are they interested in biological determinism which is the core of our predicament. It is not pseudo science, but a real topic of discussion throughout academia.

Some of them don't even bother with that. Some researchers will just use bots to comb through the site for any mentions of offensive words and content, irrespective of their context. A good example is the CCDH's "expose" on us.

They basically just used CTRL + F to look for any mentions of murder and rape. Despite their data being completely divorced of context, they used it as proof that this forum is dangerous to society.

I've been hoping to find more posts like this on the forum, because I posted a thread explaining that a professor at my university is doing some research and they are looking for participants (incels) and I asked on the forum if I should go and participate and the majority was heavily against it. I don't have any kind of utopian fantasy about how society will suddenly realise how much suffering they have caused us and ''help'' us but I do think it is important to voice your opinion when given a chance. Not to mention that huge majority on this forum has some sort of mental health issues which would also be important to talk about. There was already research done on how chronic loneliness physically impacts brain development, etc.

I'm actually not against you participating in research, at least it could be an interesting experience. I just don't think much can come out from it.
There is enough information about incels available, in "scientific" form included, to make some changes and decisions right now, but we don't see any changes and won't see in near future.
