TL;DR TWO GREYCELS TURN OUT TO BE UNIVERSITY RESEARCHERS
So I was browsing the web and came across this article containing a research paper on this forum:
aisel.aisnet.org
The paper spews the usual "le incel extremism is bad," but what is more interesting is that it reads as a guide on how to infiltrate this site more efficiently for future note.
What's interesting is that the two researchers involved compiled this paper in 2025. Here is where the schizo dot-connecting begins.
Posts with screenshots included to make the point that hostility towards newcomers is a tangible in the forum are included in the paper. However, observe the join dates and the amateur typing style of these GrAYs:
@hit1erstestical and @Abi both joined the exact same month and year, December 2024.
Their posts come off as posers who asked Chat-GPT to generate a prompt. The purposely bad grammar shaves off a bit of suspicion, but it's obvious they're still trying too hard. And alarmingly, (yet unsurprisingly) one post already alludes to homosexual tendencies.
I wonder who could be behind these accounts?
Never trust GrAYs, fuck GrAYs, and their hazing and torture is deserved. Fuck researchers. Amen.
So I was browsing the web and came across this article containing a research paper on this forum:
Suspicion and Selection: Gatekeeping and Onboarding Practices in Extremist Virtual Communities
The Internet has become a major arena for radicalization, extending far beyond mainstream social media into tightly controlled niche forums. This paper investigates how virtual extremist communities structure onboarding and gatekeeping processes in these environments. Using a cross-case study...
The paper spews the usual "le incel extremism is bad," but what is more interesting is that it reads as a guide on how to infiltrate this site more efficiently for future note.
It details on the hazing GrAYs usually go through before they are accepted as part of the community or kicked out due to suspicion. For counter extremism practitioners, this suggests that interventions should account for the ways in which different extremist communities regulate initial onboarding and should recognize the role of hostility as a form of engagement.
Pejorative term “GrAYcels”, all newcomers are suspected to be infiltrators until proven otherwise
