At this point in society, the only purpose for females for straight men who dont want to breed or interact with females at all, is purely to seem normal in social situations where it is advantageous to be partnered. This entire situationship was first practiced in gay culture, where they called a woman they kept in a sham marriage a 'beard.' As gay rights increasingly make the practice of gay + 'beard' partnerships obsolete, it seems more likely as men are forced witih the dichotomy of being labeled an 'incel' (and all the perpetual ostracization that comes with it) vs being a normie, they are forced to accept landwhales or other uglies they have no primary attraction to at all.

It's now the hetero men that are pursing sham marriages purely to avoid the 'incel' status, and remain in well-connected normie enclaves. They would take these landlards to parties and such, re-remind the world that they are normal purely for the validation of being recognized as normal, all so they could drop this lardass off, and jerk off to women they really want to fuck.

This is what goes on when a man is with a woman that is clearly below his looks threshold, unless he is sincerely a chubby chaser. Though oddly most chubby chasers are jacked black men. Pretty big part of it for sure. There was a good movie scene which I sadly can't find right now (think it might have been in "The Departed") where one guy explains that he wears a fake wedding ring just because it changes how people approach and percieve him. Women find him more desirable, men more trustworthy and reliable, so he wears one even though he never has been married before.

I don't think most of us could pull that off convincingly though, we lack the looks, the social skills and the confidence.
