dont send some solo leveling type of animes in here, theyre dogshit and have no story, animes with hot yanderes are welcome though :feelsdevil:

Akame ga kill has a nice yandere in it. Higurashi no naku koro ni, i won't spoil but also has that. School days. Deadman wonderland.

Still animes like that are more often than not, mid.

Np. School days is also an old time classic, i played the game and it's quite good. At the very least you have a lot of more options and can explore the premise further, but before getting into the game i would just watch the anime and see if you like it.

I remembered also Shiki, it's super niche and has a yandere. Plus it's a really neat story. Elfen lied is also another classic

i watched elfen lied a while ago, but i just read a bit more about deadman wonderland and apparently its not finished, so ima skip on that because i hate watching unfinished stuff. shiki seems interesting, the characters look cool ill give it a shot too.. just gotta finish 86 rn

Or you could just... you know, if you like it read the manga?

i didnt, i hate isekais and people are saying its ass aswell :feelstastyman:
It approaches the isekai concept well. In fact, most isekai and the biggest one, Rein slime parent is remonster. People don't like it because he rapes women without regard and he isn't punished by the narrative for it.

im not the biggest fan of reading mangas, atleast not online.. but if its really that good ima check it out

You should try rainbow nisha ngl. It has insanely good character development and is just nice to watch

Have you heard of this obscure little anime from an indie studio called Dragonball Z?

Phantom: requiem for the phantom or kingdom

based always loved that anime

Im fairly new so I don't have any unique niche recommendations, however I agree that normslop anime is unwatchable. I just can't watch most new gen anime. I dont like the new animation styles and over the top action.

@praytoyunogasai Name completed, niche anime series that you yourself consider 10/10 first.

The newer version of Dororo was nice, and it is finished but very short.

Rainbow: Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin
Serial Experiments Lain
86 Eighty-Six
To Your Eternity
K (K-Project)
Bloodlad
Magi (Not the Netflix slop of sinbad)
Elfenlied

Arguably SEL Elfenlied and To your eternity aren't niche but, SEL is insanely larped that's why Id consider it as niche still and To your eternity and Elfenlied are not really hyped either.. Though I just forget most niche animes I watched because they were either average or not good enough to be memorized

I can guarantee you 99/100 people that try out GTO will hate it for its old animation/quality or because its just purely comedy, im not too into comedy animes although Beelzebub was pretty funny

Horrid take. Calling GTO "purely comedy" is preety common because of the tags is also such an understatement. The anime constantly deals with themes like suicide, child abuse, trauma, bullying, isolation and onizuka's own redemption arc.

thats my bad, my old friends told me its just comedy. I dont know how much depth the anime contains but I just read a lil bout it and it seems like youre right. so my bad bro

That's not a bad list. Mostly series I have heard about but have not checked out myself. We probably have different tastes but I'll give you two 100% complete series that I would consider truly niche or overlooked, as well as really good:

1. Saraiya Goyou/House of Five Leaves. It is set in the Edo period and it is a perfect show for all walks of losers in life in my opinion. There is a lot of focus on talking though, which I know is not for everyone.

2. Human Bug Daigaku/The Human Crazy University. This is a truly obscure show. It is an adaptation of a YouTube series. That's right: not a manga, light novel, novel or videogame adaptation but a freaking YouTube adaptation. It has an extremely low budget and limited animation. But it is an interesting, unique and funny story about a man who ends up on death row.

yea they both dont really seem to be in my interest, you could like darker than black honestly, its pretty ''different'' from other animes if you get what i mean

Darker Than Black is alright in my opinion. It is well made but I didn't care much for the story.
