The only decent games Rareware ever made were the Donkey Kong Country games. Outside of DKC, their output NES-N64 was mediocre.
Battle toads is trial and error rubbish that was outdated when it came out.
Killer instinct is a mortal Kombat clone with nothing to set it apart.
Don't even get me started on their N64 games.
I SURE DO ENJOY MINDLESSLY COLLECTING GARBAGE IN A SANDBOX IN-BETWEEN JANK MINI GAMES THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH PLATFORMING
Banjo and Donkey Kong 64 were some of the most tedious games I've ever played. The platforming sucked and the games themselves were shallow. Compensating for their shallow gameplay with obsessive amounts of collectibles.
Then you have Conkers bad fur day. More rubbish. Oh movie references are so funny! Wow! Love unfunny pop culture references in-between shitty gimmicks.
And of course the culmination of Rare's shitty game design: Star Fox Adventures. I hated this game as a kid because I bought it thinking it was a traditional Star Fox game. It's a horrible Zelda clone with none of what makes Zelda good.
Nintendo was wise for not purchasing Rare. Namco and Sega were better second party developers and gave us games like F Zero GX and Star Fox Assault. Rare could never make something that good.
