I have plenty of good arguments why RE4 is not just a bad game, but also a lazy game in many aspects. Even for its time it had many outdated elements.
I will write a proper review about this and highlight all the issues the game has.

It's such a novel and fun premise for a video game. I wish Rockstar would make a Bully 2, but I doubt it will ever happen in a post-GTA V world. Especially not amidst this social climate.

Two minutes? That door animation was like every 15 seconds in every fucking room you walk by, and the animation was 7 seconds. So if you're speedruning those games you get more time watching the door animation than actually playing. Ive said it and will say it to the end, the original re games before 4 are completely outdated and trash for that only reason. No need to even get into the awful tank controls, that's another one.
Thanks god they remade 2 and 3 and with such class, and they should also remake 1. Those games got completely outdated for today's standards, and by a long shot
