I don't understand why someone would consider the death penalty to be so important since it's so rare. I'm not really an atheist but i agree with you. I'm more of a pagan. The reason i can work there is because according to the employment contract you don't really have to be a christian in order to have my job, but i pretend to be christian in order to please my bosses. If i were a priest or a deacon on the other hand it would most likely be a requirement.

Plenty of Christian sects existed before the formation of the Catholic Church. Obviously they're dead now. The lack of a one central christian religion is the reason why the Catholic church was formed in the first place.
