I was getting depressed and staying home from school and failing all courses in my last semester so I of course didn't go, was too embarassed. But even if I was attending and passing, I never dated and probably couldn't have worked up to ask anyone out. Definitely nobody asked me.

That said: it is possible some of us prematurely pull away from socializing from fear of rejection so it's hard to know exactly when we are innately denied opportunities vs when we deny them to ourself.
