Problem with IMG and ATTACH tags - Cannot resize

I am trying to set the size of an image (either interactively or in bbCode) and failing in both cases. All I manage to do is stretch images horizontally but not vertically. Is that a bug or am I missing something?

Yes, but what if you want the image to be say 600px in length. How do you do it?
