Whenever I seethe about getting stared at disgustedly by people I get the usual "it's in your head" and "people are too preoccupied with their lives to stare at you"

But one time at my niece's bday party I was walking into my bros living room where my mum was and this little girl stared tf out me with this mildly angry face and my mum literally SAW her staring at me and turned to see who she was staring at and obviously saw me, and even after she still maintains no one is staring at me, it's so horrible

Veiw my thread on empathy asymmetry

People cant mind their shit .

It's not in your head, your mother is a woman, so she is using the " if I do not agree with him, he will start to ignore the stare and think it was in his head so he can live in peace " tactic

It is infuriating she keeps gaslighting you!

Maybe she don’t know, why are you sure that she knows that people doing that to you
