And the fact that it has a modern city yet still has an archaic monarchy that rules over everything is kinda cool. It's like the closest think to the UK (and France) that you can still cross by land.

Yeah but I always argue that having a monarchy, even one who is not native to "Canada", has no place in North America, especially in the 21st century when the UK has become more irrelevant in the world and the U.S. in the dominant position. If "Canada" ever becomes a republic, then there will be no point in it existing as a distinct nation and should just push to be annexed by the U.S.
