POV: It's Boxing Day in Toronto and you're shopping at the Eaton Centre

Not really tbh
To me it does tbh. When I think of "Canada" I think of those corporate feels like being in a hospital and the diversity. And the fact that it has a modern city yet still has an archaic monarchy that rules over everything is kinda cool. It's like the closest think to the UK (and France) that you can still cross by land.

Also brings me back to the late 2000s and early 2010s when I used to watch Flipnotes on my DSi while watching "Canadian" cartoons on Cartoon Network.

Most of Europe still has monarchies, as well as many countries in Asia like Japan which has an emperor. What Canadian shows did you watch on cartoon network?

Yeah but I always argue that having a monarchy, even one who is not native to "Canada", has no place in North America, especially in the 21st century when the UK has become more irrelevant in the world and the U.S. in the dominant position. If "Canada" ever becomes a republic, then there will be no point in it existing as a distinct nation and should just push to be annexed by the U.S.

The British Empire is long dead, I don't know why "Canada" still can't let go of that old legacy by keeping the Queen of England and remaining in the Commonwealth when obviously nothing else distinguishes it from the U.S. We gained our independence in order to fight against that and it's about time that you accepted Freedom, where you will have more opportunity and prosperity.

But alas, when I was a kid I always thought the UK and the Union Jack looked cool and I kinda wish I was in London. Having a monarchy ruling over you but still being very modern is a cool juxtaposition to have.

At least the Game Corner in Pokémon Gold, Sliver and Crystal, the Johto region in Generation 2 is based in Japan so there's that.

There were many over here, especially from the late 2000s.

The Total Drama series, 6teen and Johnny Test is what I can remember.

Yeah, monarchism is pretty retarded. It’s only a matter of time they are all gone. Also, other than the Queen, no one really likes the other British Royals.

Also, I do remember 6teen and Johny Test but had no clue they were Canadian.

Yet "Canada" chooses to simp for monarchy because it's the only thing that distinguishes you from us. And you are so proud of that.

Btw, lol at your Prince Andrew getting called out for having fun on Epstein's island.

Yeah, used to watch those way back in the day. Made Flipnotes of them on my DSi, too.

No, I’m not from Toronto. But it sounds like some video game music from the 8 or 16 bit era
Yeah, it's the Game Corner theme from Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal.

Does it remind you of being in the middle of a busy and crowded street or square in any major city in "Canada" surrounded by modern skyscrapers?

Those were the best ones, because they had 16 gyms and 2 regions.

No lol.

Yeah, Gen 2 is my favorite Pokémon generation after Gen 3.
I thought so because it's a good juxtaposition of having an archaic European-style monarchy and peerage system with modern sprawling cities with skyscrapers and American-style culture. The music makes me feel that way because it has a cosmopolitan and corporate city feel.

You ever been to Toronto or Vancouver?

I have visited Vancouver, but not Toronto.

Maybe some stuff at that boutique but I'm just enjoying the cosmopolitan vibe of this place and all these young diverse people of different cultures socializing.
WTF, nigger? I thought you hated Canada. Why would you give your money to their businesses? KEK

But yeah, the song that I posed reminds me of "Canada".

Do not understand this reference at all

What are they doing in "Canada"? What type of spic where they?
I had friends who were Guatemalan, Venezuelan, Argentinian, Cuban, Mexican, and Brazilian.

No Dominicans and Puerto Ricans tho.

Interesting that the Mexican and the Cuban was there. South American Hispanics are the only ones who are more likely to move somewhere other than the U.S.

Did they come from the U.S. or where at least heading there?

No, they were all Canadian born I think.

Interesting. Over here most are immigrants and we are still getting more immigrants from Latin America.
St. Hamudi was right. Our ancestors came from shit holes and can’t compare to the Western standards of living.

But in "Canada". There is wonderful diversity and culture, and a healthy mix of old British traditions and modern North American architecture.

Just imagine listening to that Pokémon music while exploring that place.

Jfl at the sears. Where is this?

interesting. Never been there tbh, and probably never will go there.
What's wrong with Toronto? I thought every "Canadian" has been there just like how every "Canadian" has been to the other side of the "border"?
