Brutal Possibly dark triad fellow who escaped the sinking of the Titanic

I was rewatching some of the 1997 Titanic movie earlier today. Mostly just the bits featuring Cal as I quite like that character, lol

Obviously not everything he does.

Anywho, I noticed this fellow portrayed in the movie:

Apparently he was part of the ship's construction but instead of going down with the ship he strategically boarded a lifeboat and escaped, while multiple others in high ranking positions went down with the ship.

Just struck me as interesting!

Yeah seems weird to me to condemn guys who managed to get off the ship, whilst at the same time having no issue with literally discriminating against them.

Obviously in his case it was a bit more complex as he was part of the construction, but still.
