Thats the secret power of us Anglo-Saxons. Every other ethnicity I have looked at.. everybody is very aggressive in getting rich and 'getting ahead' of others and being high status. But of course in each society even after a revolution some families are the high status people.
The people in power then use their power to prevent other people from getting rich. In India they do it with the 'permit Raj'. The complex system of licenses, permits, allotments, quotas, etc. So they use those both to entrench and increase their wealth for the high status people, and to prevent others from rising up and possibly surpassing them.
But for whatever reason us Anglo-Saxons don't do that. So we get this ever growing wealth. Like when new immigrants such as curries come to America and then are very motivated to get rich, now that they are allowed. And its self-selecting too, curries motivated to get rich but not allowed in India, come to our countries.
Even I thought curries were stupid because of how poor India is. But then I saw curries in America, and clearly there are brilliant people. Like look in chess some of the top players are curries.
