I have a soft spot for Emerald considering it was my first game, but you're honestly right. Gen 3 wasn't even planned to be a thing, it just happened, that's probably why it feels like it sucks so much now.

Also, removing team rocket and adding some weird meme villains, sucked. Team rocket in gen 1 and 2 actually feel like they are bad people who want to harm others with their crime. I don't even remember what the hell team aqua and magma wanted to do. It was probably some retarded shit.

Gen 3 and 4 were good too. Gen 5 was okay, kinda fell off after that tbh. I did like the graphics updates but they really should’ve stopped making new mons past gen 5 and the mega evolves and dynamax shit is all super dumb
