I am overall glad to be out of college soon, just a few more exams I will force myself through despite deteriorating energy (literally had to take a nap at 8 pm tonight). But when it comes to the graduation, it's ridiculous. The only people I am communicating with to plan anything are my parents and a member of the lab I did work in, so my parents can tour the facilities. That's literally it. No "last hurrahs" with friends, no romantic finales with gf, nothing.
I'm not even planning a grad trip because I wtf would I even do. I would rather go home to rot and watch world cup games (the one sporting event I care about, so that is some minor lifefuel).
This is a subject worthy of its own post, but shortly before starting college, I was at an event where one could meet some other students, and this guy who was a recent alum was saying "yeah I'm moving to such and such city to be with my girlfriend" and hearing that even then, I knew, that could never be me. And indeed that has come true. I am not independent enough and have no kind of agency, and didn't go on as much as a date in college. This is the situation at hand.
