Serious Planning to Oilmax, anyone have experience?

I looked into the qualifications and standards to work on the oil rigs, apparently the pay is well over 100k and with OT you can make 150k a year. You keep all of it since they feed you and give you a place to live during your time on, and you can stay in cheap motels for the off-week.

I need to get a few certifications but I'm worried they're bullshitmaxxing, im going to do all these certs, and then the say "LOL fuck you you don't get a job!" and not hire me.

How do you need connections? From my understanding they're desperate for people and have 70% turnover.

Because its a well paid job with very low entry barriers. I don’t think turnover is a good indicator for how easy it is to get a job. You will have a lot of competition.
