What are basic needs? Whatever, if you have any taxes at all you distributing people(their labour which comes from their bodies) which is enslavement. And I'm sure their socialist plans include things well beyond what is required to physically survive anyway.

You know what else is not a basic need ? Education. What do you need education for ? To earn a living ? What for since the government will give you everything you "need" ?
