I've been thinking of doing this cause my job is pretty easy and I can do it in couple hours each day. If I shift when work around a bit, like getting started earlier and working faster, I could get all my work for the day done before 9am, and then start the 2nd job. As long as the meeting times don't collide I could probably swing it.

I didn't realize there was a whole community of moneymaxxers out there who already do this.

I'm gonna do some practice for a while. I have a side project I can work on. So what I'm gonna do is try to open up the hours from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday to work on my own project, and shift all the work I do for my day job into the mornings or on the weekend. Basically I just have to show up for the daily meetings, and be online, and check in some code I write each day. That's it.

But my work computer has Slack and I need to be online all the time, maybe they keep track of how much the computer is on.

So I'm gonna get one of these USB mouse jiggler's so it keeps the mouse active all day long.

If this works for a few weeks then I'm gonna start getting more jobs. Some people somehow manage 4 jobs at a time and make mega $$$.

shit is crazy. are you a programmer? I need to work from home. im done with communting, it sucks and wastes my time. did WFH for 3 months in 2020, it was awesome, but got a new job where it isn't practical. Gotta change fields really to WFH

If you think it doesn't overwhelm you go on and do it. More money is always better.

Grind out LEETCode problems until you've memorized every one. I'm a good web developer but I suck at those kinds of problems and usually bomb them.

Yup, covid has opened up these remote jobs for programmers. Just gettig any remote job was very tough previously. Now almost every job has gone fully remote.

I'm doing this. I ordered a USB mouse jiggler and a KVM from Amazon, won't get here till Friday though. But I'm gonna start today. I already completed today's work in about 1 hour on Sunday, so all day I don't have to do shit except attend a half hour meeting and then check in my code at 5pm.

When I have the daily standup meeting I'm of course going to complain about how overworked I am and how much work I have to do today and maybe tomorrow even though I already got it all done and just gonna piss around every day from 9am-5pm.

Yup I'm a full stack dev but do mostly front end at this job. I'm gonna do all sorts of unnecessary refactoring, so it looks like I did 500 lines of code but really I'm just cutting and pasting code around. I'm the only front end dev on this project so nobody will know the better.

And meanwhile I already did an interview for a higher paying job over lunchtime, and I got another interview for a FAANG job next week. I'll probably bomb that interview but I don't give a fuck anymore. I'll just keep doing interviews and crush LeetCode problems on company time until I end up in a better situation.
