Just because he planned the hidden leaf crush tried to steal Sasuke and Itachi‘s body and betray the akatsuki more times than he can count. doesn’t mean he’s that bad of a dude he just did it for immortality bro.
The Leaf itself is shit child abusers, Sasuke went to Orochipedo of his own free will, Itachi was an overrated stupid ass character, and the akastuki are terrorists so you're completely right.
