Hey everyone,

I used to be deep into anime and manga—full-on otaku mode. I was constantly watching series, reading manga, and pretty much only watched non-anime movies on the side. But over the past ten years, life happened, and I gradually fell off.

Now I’ve decided to dive back in, and I need your help.

Please share the absolute best of the best that I’ve likely missed—whether it’s ultra-violent, sexy ( hentai welcomed ), slice of life (which I used to love), comedy, or whatever. I don’t care about the genre, I just want the top-tier stuff.

Manga or anime recommendations welcome. If the manga is better, I’ll always choose that over the anime.

Thanks in advance!

When did you stop watching anime?

Slice of life is pretty much my thing. I don't know when you stopped watching but here's a few from the last 10 years or so that I've enjoyed:

Hibike Euphonium: high school girls in concert band. KyoAni, so great production. Haven't read LNs

Gochiusa ("Is the Order a Rabbit"): cute girls and lolis running coffee and tea shops. Haven't read manga

Teasing Master Takagi-san: adorable school romcom, would watch anime then pick up manga

Sangatsu no Lion: depressed pro shogi player kid and his found family. Pretty heavy at times but really good. I'd read the manga

Non Non Biyori: cute girls and lolis in rural Japan

Quintessential Quintuplets: relatively wholesome harem with big tiddied redheads. Anime and manga are both fun but I'd go with anime for harem in general

Fruits Basket remake was good if you're OK with shoujo and gayness but I'd probably just read the manga

Those are just some I've enjoyed from that time period, idk about "masterpieces"

It's so sweet it will rot your teeth out

Also tbh Takagi-san is kinda suicide fuel because we will never have anything like it, but it's good

Thanks for the warning, i usualy avoid suicide fuel content, i might give it a try if i feel brave enough.

Ignore current anime season it's so shit that i want to rope. :fuk:

I barely watch seasonals anymore, they're mostly shit and i can always watch any decent ones when they finish releasing

Why does it feel like every new anime is slop
