everyone was making good money, had good credit, savings, etc.
all the kids were athletic, played ball, played nintendo and spent all day outside exercising
no stupid electronics or gadgets. computers were for serious work like accounting, finance, or research

Now:

half of your family died from related heart diseases
half are broke, divorced, paying alimony
very few have children
men in the family are stressed, balding and look like shit
everyone, even the old boomers use social media all day
public park or places where you had your family outting are full of used 40 ounce liquor bottles, needles, homeless, teen thugs, etc.
everyone is fat as fuck and looks half dead

I agree though. Technology in the form of instant access media has really hurt people in the long run.
