Never tried oblivion or any ES game and I gave it a shot. Very fun! Aiming for the platinum.

They changed "male and female" with "body type a and body type b" in the remake JFL

They did that to WoW as well in classic & retail. WTF are companies doing these days?

I wish my laptop could run it

Yes, great opportunity to try it out

I am oblivious to its existence or rather was till now. Might try it sometime later tbhngldedsrs.

I wish that was my biggest complain about the remaster. It's unplayable as is even without the woke crap. Character designs are ruined (wow, they actually made npc faces look worse many cases). The 3d environments look vastly different, and I can't say it's for the better. Soy gas everywhere. Noisy zoomerified UI because zoomer short attention span brain absolutely needs the controls on screen all the time. Terrible performance, bugs. What have I forget?

Oblivion has missing and repeated voice lines, often reusing the same VAs (as seen in F:NV or FO3, although sometimes that was 'solved out' by changing the voice's pitch). I used to play it on my old X360. The story is rather bland... it reminds me of Emil. Oh, dear Emil (these guys scrapped plans of making an Enclave siege on Rivet City... of course they gave up on it solely for performance reasons and not because of "time constraints"). Oblivion already shows its age. And let's not mention they're using UE5 pipeline in order to render the graphics. At this very moment, this remastered version is not moddeable in any proper way whatsoever and Oblivion's NN was pretty much dead prior to this unexpected release.

After all it's just a personal preference but I don't really find its story enjoyable in the long run.

However, there's Skyblivion and that's what I'm waiting for. And while we're on it, I might even compliment Skyblivion's NPCs with proper voicelines made through Zonos (ElevenLabs is dead for me as it relies on (voice based) KYC).

Wrapping things up, there's not much content in Oblivion. It already shows its age (technologically speaking) and Skyblivion is being built upon Creation Engine's foundations so it's pretty much moddable by day one (as long as you are familiar with CK).

Never got into Oblivion as much as the other two main ES games because I found the exploration to be dull
